Vivissime congratulazioni a Mario Bevione della Delegazione Ais di Torino che ieri presso la Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi ha vinto il 7° Nebbiolo Master al termine di una bella gara. BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!
E voi vi chiederete, cosemmai il Nebbiolo Master? è un concorso nazionale per Sommelier professionisti e non, organizzato da AisPiemonte con cadenza annuale e tema evidentemente centrato sul vitigno Nebbiolo e sui vini che nel mondo vi si producono. Ed essendo il Nebbiolo padre di vini di eleganza, storia, fascino e ricchezza, legati a territori difficili e con peculiarità poco diffuse, ha da sempre su di me un certo fascino. In più ammetto di nutrire una particolare ammirazione per chi (come Mario appunto) è capace di raggiungere bei traguardi come questo trofeo, senza clamori ed eccessi ma con onesta modestia e simpatia, lavorando infaticabilmente ma mantenendo alte le proprie ambizioni.
Anni fa mi venne in mente di provarci anch’io, che da persona schiva e vagamente timida oltre che talvolta irragionevolmente insicura, mi ero sempre tenuta alla larga da concorsi, gare e degustazioni pubbliche. Per fortuna, nonostante mi fossi messa sui libri per un bel mesetto ad approfondire la tematica nebbiolo, a rimettere in memoria disciplinari di produzione e confini geografici, e assaggiando e riassaggiando solo vini da uve nebbiolo per varie settimane (ecco, ripensandoci…è stato anche bello :) per fortuna dicevo, feci un buono scritto ma senza entrare in finale. Già perchè assistere alle prove finali dei primi tre classificati mi folgorò letteralmente, non tanto per la bravura quanto per il sangue freddo necessario per mettersi lì a degustare e declamare in pubblico tre vini uno dopo l’altro, con la giuria schierata, la telecamera accesa e i riflettori puntati in faccia, il pubblico estremamente attento e competente pronto ad analizzare ogni dettaglio nello stile di servizio, nella precisione dei gesti, in ogni minimo tremore di voce o leggera esitazione. Vinse un milanese figlio della scuola concorsi e noi torinesi ci sentimmo tutti un po’ orfani, ma ora la ricordo come una esperienza veramente arricchente, forse anche da rifare, e soprattutto da vivere per poterla capire davvero. Bravo Mario, di nuovo complimenti! Per tutto.
